Comments
XC patents are Canadian patents issued between 1824 and 1869. We do know that the patent (or possibly just its successor, patent {XC-3,302}) was licensed by Joseph Hall Manufacturing Co. of Oshawa, Ontario: The 1871 “Lovell's Canadian Dominion Directory” mentions “Cain's patent oscillating gang saw mills” among Hall's products.
