Most of the patents prior to 1836 were lost in the December 1836 fire. Only about 2000 of the almost 10000 documents were recovered. Little is known about this patent. The 1819 Paxton's Philadelphia Directory lists “Littleboy M. J. military feather, comb, and patent lamp store 44 and 46 north Second”, and “Littleboy Geo. combmaker 46 N. 2d & 7th & 43 Callowhill”.
